We only want the powder room redone. Is that too small a job for you?

No. Powder rooms, guest baths and master baths are all work we take on, and a small one gets the same sequence and the same site standard as a large one. We are a boutique firm on purpose. The room being small is not a reason for anything about the job to be casual. We build in Beaverton, Portland, Tigard and Hillsboro.

Can we move things around, or are we stuck with the layout we have?

Layout is usually the reason people call. We have reworked a master bath and the closet next to it so the flow finally made sense, and on a whole-home project we have moved walls to do it. We are architecturally driven. If you already have an architect or a designer, we build what they drew.

How do I know the work behind the tile was done right?

Honestly, you will not see it again. Once that layer is closed up it is out of sight for the life of the room, so the only real safeguard is the standard it was built to in the first place. Bathroom remodels require the greatest attention to detail of anything we build, and the parts nobody photographs are where that gets settled. Proven construction methods and industry-leading technology are what we hold that layer to.

While it is torn apart, can we make the room more efficient?

Yes, and this is the moment to decide it. Eco-friendly material selection and energy-efficient options are part of how we put a project together. Raise it at the free in-home consultation and it lands in the estimate at the start, so it is scoped work from day one and not something bolted on once the walls are open.

I am at work all day. How do I keep up with what is happening in there?

Digital project management tools and virtual walkthroughs keep you current on where the job actually stands, so you are not reading progress off a pile of tile in the hallway. Patrick Richardson, our Founder and Production Manager, holds the team to a high standard for communication and transparency. Ask on Tuesday what happened Monday and you get a straight answer.

The master bath opens off our bedroom. Who is going to be in that part of the house?

People we have checked out first. Every subcontractor we collaborate with is vetted for craftsmanship and for keeping a respectful job site, and a master bath tests the second part more than most rooms, because the way in runs through your bedroom. Craftsmanship gets a sub on our list. How they behave in someone's home keeps them there.
